華碩新一代電競手機ROG Phone 8系列將於明年1月CES亮相，根據官方先前自行曝光的外型圖，已確定這一代的設計語言將會大改，除了注重遊戲效能，相機更是升級重點；外媒windowsreport進一步爆料更詳細的外型以及規格資訊。

外媒曝光了華碩ROG Phone 8系列多張外型圖，顯示總共推出ROG Phone 8以及ROG Phone 8 Pro兩款，整體機身變得更加方正，捨棄以往濃厚的電競風格，顯示不再專攻重度遊戲玩家，而是希望以主流旗艦手機貼近更多消費者。另外，前鏡頭採居中挖孔設計，螢幕維持6.78吋，最高支援165Hz更新率、HDR10和亮度2,500尼特。

曝光的圖片也揭露華碩ROG Phone 8系列的機背鏡頭模組大變更，改為方形矩陣排列。外媒揭露，ROG Phone 8 Pro配置3鏡頭，主鏡頭為5,000萬畫素，採用Sony IMX890感光元件，以及1,300萬畫素超廣角和3,200萬畫素長焦鏡頭，支援3倍光學變焦，這是ROG Phone首度加入長焦配置。前鏡頭則為3,200萬畫素。

外媒同時釋出幾乎完整的規格表，ROG Phone 8系列採用高通 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3處理器，防水能力將從IP54升級至IP68，其中ROG Phone 8 Pro頂規版更配置24GB記憶體、1TB大容量。可能是因為整體機身的體積縮小、相機模組增大，電池從6,000mAh減至5,500mAh。
